Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to everything on this website (https://ecstaticmusic.nl/): the free downloads, live sessions, coaching and the site itself. By downloading, signing up or booking you agree to them. Where these terms say “I” or “Ecstatic”, that means Wouter van de Ridder, trading as [business name], KvK [number], [address], The Netherlands.
1. Free downloads (sample packs, presets, project files)
1.1 What you get
After leaving your name and email address you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to use the downloaded sounds, presets and project files in your own musical productions, live sets and DJ sets, including commercial releases of music you made with them.
1.2 What stays mine
All packs, sounds, presets, artwork and project files remain the intellectual property of Ecstatic. The licence gives you the right to use them, not to own them. Copyright and related rights are not transferred.
1.3 What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, rent, give away or otherwise distribute the pack or any of its files, in whole or in part, as they are or with minor changes, including in other sample packs, preset banks, construction kits or “loop” products.
- Upload the files to sharing sites, cloud folders open to others, Discord servers, torrents or similar.
- Claim the sounds as your own creation, or register the raw sounds with a content-ID or rights system.
- Use the files in a way that is unlawful, defamatory or damaging to Ecstatic’s reputation.
Using an isolated sound from a pack as the whole or essential part of a track (for example releasing a bare loop) is not allowed either; the licence is for use as an element in your own work.
1.4 Credit
Credit is appreciated but not required.
1.5 Giveaways and actions
Sometimes a download is part of a giveaway or action. The same licence applies. There is no right to a prize or download outside the conditions announced for that action, and I may end or change an action at any time.
1.6 Termination
If you break these terms the licence ends immediately and you must delete the files. Music you already released in good faith before that moment may stay released.
2. Live sessions
Live sessions are free online sessions over Google Meet (and sometimes a livestream). A sign-up is personal and gives you a spot as long as spots are available. I may move, shorten or cancel a session; if that happens, everyone signed up gets a mail. Sessions may be recorded and published later; if you do not want to be visible or audible, keep your camera and microphone off. Please do not record, stream or redistribute sessions yourself. Anything I make on screen during a session stays my property, unless it is your own track that we work on (see section 3).
3. Coaching
3.1 Booking and prices
Coaching is booked by request through the site. A booking is final once we have agreed a date and I have confirmed it by mail. Prices are shown on the coaching page, per session or per month, and are exclusive of 21% VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment is due before the session unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3.2 Moving or cancelling
You can move a session free of charge up to 48 hours before it starts. Cancelling or moving within 48 hours, or not showing up, means the session is charged in full. If I have to cancel, you get a new date or a full refund, your choice.
3.3 Your track, my additions
Your track stays yours. Everything I add to it during a session (sounds, edits, processing, arrangement ideas) you may keep, use and release as part of that track, without further payment or credit obligation. I do not claim a share in your track. I may not use your stems for anything else without your permission.
3.4 What coaching is not
Coaching is advice and hands-on help from a producer. It is not a guarantee of releases, signings, chart positions or income. Decisions about your music remain yours.
3.5 Monthly mentorship
A monthly package runs per calendar month and is invoiced in advance. It stops automatically unless we agree on the next month. Unused sessions within a month do not carry over unless agreed.
4. Bookings for shows
Bookings for performances are handled exclusively by The Bassline Agency. Requests sent through this website are forwarded or redirected; no booking is confirmed until the agency confirms it under its own conditions.
5. Website content
All text, photos, artwork, logos, music and code on this site are protected by copyright and other rights and may not be copied or reused without written permission, except for the downloads under section 1 and normal sharing of links. Embedded content from YouTube, Spotify and SystemOne is subject to those platforms’ terms.
6. Liability
The site and the free downloads are provided “as is”. I do my best to keep everything working and virus-free, but I cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or that files suit your setup or DAW. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential damage (such as lost income or data). For paid services my liability is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence or where the law does not allow limitation.
7. Privacy
How I handle your personal data is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
8. Changes and applicable law
I may change these terms; the version on this page at the time you download, sign up or book applies. Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, after we have first tried to solve it together. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
